ORDEAL OF A STRAY CAT: A FEW THINGS ABOUT STERILIZING I WISH I KNEW BEFOREHAND (Continued)
This is a follow up on my article about serious malpractices by an unscrupulous vet in Thane, in sterilizing strays.
The crude methods of the culprit raise serious doubt about his credentials. He is middle aged, which means he has probably been practicing for at least for twenty years, although how he has managed to escape being caught is a mystery. The case of a Sri Lankan Compounder who had stolen the identity of a surgeon from his home town and was practicing as a Surgeon at the Sion Hospital in Mumbai for 3-4 years, before finally being caught, comes to mind.
One shudders to think of the immense amount of harm the quack might have done to countless hapless animals entrusted to his care over that long period, some of which no doubt, would have lost their lives. Kitty's life was saved by the strenuous efforts of a second vet to whom we had the cat following its precarious condition.
Even as you read this article, the culprit may be wielding his scalpel on a poor animal. It is, therefore, of paramount importance that we raise our voices in unison against this butcher, forcing the authorities to note and take immediate action to debar him from practicing and also take punitive measures against him.
